most time we use it to approved post to public expecially when post is having content that can damage your site we use it... any post created appear status is pending why when moderated then edit function for switching status to published... but if post is having something that can damage your web behaviour like html,big photo,or pornographics or even text that harrans or insult you need to create another edit function to save the post status as draft.... as a admin when you notice user total draft post is more than 5 or 6 edit the post creator to block... notify him / her to delete the draft posts before creating any....
